Dear MUPS Members,
Please read this site update information carefully as it details changes made at MUPS that will effect your use of the site, and that require action by you if you wish to continue your full access to MUPS. These changes are being put into place after discussion with members this past spring regarding how MUPS can provide the best service and security to the MUPS community by upgrading our server resources and ensuring that people using MUPS are here for legitimate reasons (i.e. not joining to spam, harrass members, buy/sell with no intention of completing the transaction, etc.).
Subscription Required
Effective July 27th, 2010, full access to the MUPS website will require a subscription. When you subscribe to MUPS you will have full, unrestricted access to all of MUPS (no limits on messages, posts, IMs, etc). The cost for the subscription is $5.99 USD. However, your subscription fee is a deposit; it will actually not cost you anything as the $5.99 you pay will be credited directly to your MUPS sales area account where you can use it to pay toward items bought from sellers or to pay for selling fees (described below). Current members of MUPS and those joining before July 27th are eligible for a Founder membership at MUPS. A Founder membership will give you three years unlimited access to MUPS for the $5.99 deposit. Please upgrade to the Founder membership today. After July 27th, this Founder membership will no longer be available.
On July 27th, new members and anyone regardless of how long they have been registered at MUPS without a Founder membership will only be able to browse (not use, sell, buy, post, read, etc.) limited areas of the MUPS site. To gain access to MUPS, they will need to upgrade to a Full membership which will require the $5.99 deposit for a one year subscription.
Upgrading your MUPS membership is quite easy. To upgrade, go to your MUPS control panel (speedometer icon tab on top menu tab), then click the "Membership" link. On the Membership page you will see the option to add the Founder membership to your cart. When the membership is added to your cart, the page will refresh to your cart page (if it does not do so automatically, click the link provided to go to your cart. In your cart you will see your subscription available for check out. To check out (pay) you have several options. If you use the Alertpay (recommended!) or CCBill option, your account will be instantly and automatically upgraded to the Founder membership upon checkout (payment). In the box below the instant checkout choices, you will see aleternative payment options available. These options do not provide instant upgrade, however if you use one of them, your account will be upgraded within 24 hours but typically in a much, much shorter time period. Please note that CCBill offers a maximum of a 365 day (one year) subscription label. Do not worry about this, if you pay with CCBill, your Founder membership will indeed be set to three years.
I have attempted to give checkout (payment) options that are convenient for everyone. Between all of the options offered you can pay your deposit with your Alertpay balance, electronic check/debit (ACH) from your bank account, credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, JCB, Maestro), mail in cash or money order, and even by billing to your telephone bill (USA only).
With the MUPS change over to a subscription access site on July 27th, the rules regarding explicit content will be relaxed. However, since visitors/non-subscribed will still be able to see people's avatars/profile photos shown on the front page, MUPS will not allow explicit photos to be used as members' main image/avatar. We want to keep the front page which is accessible to all purely PG-rated. On this subject, please be aware that many MUPS members have no interest in explicit content. Therefore the polite thing to do is to set the access to your folders/gallery containing racier photos/video to "Friends Only". This will prevent anyone but those you have friended from seeing your more explicit content.
Selling Fees
Effective now. Sellers will now find that are a few selling fees that will be charged in connection with their MUPS sales. If you've sold elsewhere, you will be pleased to find that their are no "insertion fees", you can still list items at no cost, and the MUPS fees are much more realistic than you'll find on other selling sites. Nonetheless, any fees are a big change from the no fee structure you are used to at MUPS so please be aware that there is now a small fee when your item sells and connected to upgrades such as featuring on the front page. Complete fee listings can be viewed here. Your $5.99 subscription fee/deposit can be used to cover selling fees. Since you can now accept the $5.99 site credit from buyers toward the price of your sold items, it is possible to cover all of your selling fees using MUPS site credit to avoid any out of pocket expense by you.
Please note that there is a new "Site Credi Acceptedt" icon that you can choose under payment options when listing items for sale. Please select this option to let buyers know that they can use all or some of their site credit toward your item. One question that is sure to pop up is: "What happens if my item sells but the buyer does not pay, do I get my sold item fee refunded?". The good news is that with our new subscription requirement, nonpaying buyers should become rare. However, if it does happen, you will find a "Reguest Refund" link in your sales area control panel. Please use this link to request a refund/credit of the "final value fee" associated with the unpaid item. However, to recieve the refund, you will need to leave negative feedback for the buyer and report them to us via the helpdesk so that we can urge them to honor their commitent to buy or delete them from MUPS so they can't do it again. Please note - Since MUPS now has fees in place when an item sells on the site, direct selling through MUPS bypassing the sales area to avoid the fee is completely unfair to sellers who are supporting the site through fee payment. Therefore, this will no longer be allowed and will be grounds for account deletion.
Transferring Site Credit to Another Member
To use the $5.99 site credit toward the purchase of a seller's item, please check that the seller accepts this as partial payment first. Then go to your sales area control panel. In the center of the main page you will see your site credit balance and a form to transferr your balance to another member. Enter the amount of credit you want to transfer along with the username of the member you want to transfer to and then click the transfer button. The person recieving your transferred credit will be given the option to accept or deny your transfer. If it is refused, the amount will be credited back to your account to use again.
Thank you to everyone for making MUPS the number one panty selling community on the internet! While fees are never welcome on top of all the fees we have in our lives today, I trust that these changes will allow MUPS to become an even better experience for our members than ever. As always, if you have any questions or need any help, please send us a help request through the helpdesk and we'll be happy to get you fixed up.
Sincerely,
PK

shaggin wrote 643 Days Ago (neutral) 0I just found out that we have to now pay fees if our items sell. That kind of sucks but I definitly see the point in doing that. I was shocked when I came to this site that no fees were charged that was like wow totally unexpected and amazing. If I had to pay an insertion fee for everything I tried to sell it might not be worth it to even sell here because so many times I list things and nothing sells. Seeing that I only have to pay a final value fee thats a huge plus and makes it worth it. I didnt mind at all having to pay the $5.99 membership fee. I think with mups charging that membership fee it will rid the place of all the members who are just going to lurk here and not chat or buy anything etc. It will keep more members active I think the ones who truly want to be here anyway!

However, I refuse to give any of my spare time to anyone who refuses to read or think that they are above the rest of us . I dont indulge bullshit excuses or childish innuendoes either.
Cheers

Anonymous wrote 671 Days Ago (neutral) 0Another quick question for you PK.
Anyone that has not read this thread, but currently has anything listed on relist if sold/not sold with catagory highlight or front page feature will get charged I assume?
I've just gone in and changed all my relists to take off the areas that charge extra (until I decide what I want to do with them) but that's because I read this article today. Will anyone who has not read this but have relists that activate this evening have the fee waived or is that not possible?2 pointsKnob wrote 672 Days Ago (neutral) 0Sorry to hear about the fees that this site will be charging in the future.
I for one will not pay it as I don't give my CC number out to anyone. I got burned for $200.00 about a year ago and wont give it out again.
I hope this works out for you.
I am a good buyer and there are lots of girl sellers that will atest to that. I have always paid for my purchases by either cash or money order.
I have noticed that there are some good sellers that have either left or been asked to leave this site. I wonder why?
