As you've noticed the MUPS site has been updated. It is now stable, you should now feel free to post content, messages and such without worry that they will disappear. Please make sure you click around and check everything out as there are some nice, new features to explore. A few of the biggies are listed below. You should immediately find that the bugs that bugged us in the past are gone. The log in/password change, etc. integration of all of the areas (selling area, main, forum) seems to be flawless now. Log in and forget it. Everyone should be able to leave comments now without the test box closing, videos can be watched full-screen, etc.

NOTE: Please ignore the cart and membership/upgrade functions for now. There is nothing you need to do with this yet.

Video chat, video IM, leave a video comment, boards - Our new site requires a different media server for all of the webcam functions. It is being set up now. While the cam functions are currently not enabled. They will be shortly - hopefully no later than Monday. In the mean time, you can still use the chat/IM with text.

Gone and not coming back - Old photos and private messages. I had been giving a warning all last week about the old private messages not transferring to the new site. Hopefully everyone was able copy and save their old messages if needed. I had hoped to be able transfer all photos over to the new site. I really tried, but unfortunately, it couldn't be done. Our photos numbered in the 10's of thousands and it was just far too much for the computer server to handle the migration of them. Everyone will need to re-upload photos that they want. Look at it as a chance to freshen your profile and galleries with new photos. Super pokes, friends bulletins, myspace-like profiles, and gifts are currently gone but will likely be added again when they can work with our new site.

Photos - The photo that appears next to your name throughout the site (including now in the forum) is now called your "avatar". You can change this in your dashboard or by clicking on it. This is a change as it used to come from your profile photos. You still have profile photos but the avatar is now a separate image. When you do upload photos, you'll notice now that you can set permissions on who can view them.

Instant messages - You will find that we now have two ways to instant message other online users. You can use the full cam enabled IM system that is like what we always had, or you can use the quick IM which is text only. To use the quick IM, go to an online member's profile page and you'll see a quick chat function in their "Actions" block. Adding text in that chat block will cause a quick chat box to open for the other user.

Member bar - you'll notice a new member bar at the bottom of the page when you log in. This member bar gives you a bunch of useful information and shortcuts to use while logged in. Make sure to hover your mouse over it and click around to see what it can do for you. For example, if you click on your name/yellow circle, you can set your online/offline shown status.

Permissions - one of the big changes is that many things (photos, your entire profile, videos, etc) can now be set with permissions of who can view it. Please remember that in most cases, you'll want things set to "public" so other members can see you and your content.

Once again, please explore everything and see what is here. Don't forget to replace your lost photos, and remember that a bunch of great cam capabilities will be turned on shortly.
